The continued scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has resulted in groaning and frustrations for road users in the city on Tuesday.
This development now brings back memories of long queues experienced at various filling stations in the past.
One could see vehicle owners go to their various destinations by public transport to avoid late arrival. Some patiently lined up till it got to their turn before they could get the product to fill in their vehicles, while others walked on foot.
Customers observed that the petrol stations sold the product at the official pump price, however, they were not operating at full capacity as some sold the product with only one of their pumps while others sold only to customers with plastic cans.

The NNPC station at the Kubwa expressway sold to customers with just two of their but sold mostly to customers with jerry cans.
The Oando filling station located just adjacent the NNPC station was still closed as at press time while the NIPCO opposite the NNPC also operated minimally.
Due to this unfortunate development, black marketers had a filled day as they took to the business of selling the product by the roadside for those who couldn't be patient enough to wait for their turn to get petrol to buy at the station. Reports say that 10 litres of petrol was sold for N2500.
Resulting from the long queues, the service lane at the expressway affected regular vehicular activities on the road as road users were held up on the road following the gridlock.
