Ahmed Ololade aka Asake is an Afropop and Afrobeat musician who was born in the late 1990s and brought up by Yoruba parents in Lagos, Nigeria.
He studied Theater & Performing arts at the esteemed Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he had his degree.
He rose to prominence in 2020 after his freestyle “Lady” went viral, eliciting a tremendous response from several prominent internet influencers such as Broda Shaggi, Sydney Talker, NastyBlaq, and others.
Immediately the freestyle went viral, it was recorded with the production credited to Blaque Beats. Then later in 2020, he released “Mr Money” another viral hit that topped charts and airwaves and was a popular Tik-Tok tune.
On January 11, 2022, Asake collaborated with rapper Olamide to release his chart-topping single 'Omo Ope' while the music video dropped on February 16, 2022.
Asake was officially signed to Olamide-owned record label YBNL in February 2022.
