Personal Life

Bella Shmurda is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who was born on January 27, 1997, in Lagos where he was raised. He is currently in his final year at the Lagos State University (LASU), studying History and International Studies as at the time of this writing.

Career

Shmurda hit publicity in 2019 when he released the remix of his debut single ‘Vision 2020’ featuring indigenous rapper, Olamide. He originally released the song in 2018 but it was not too recognized until the remix.

Prior to his fame, he does a lot of freestyles which he uploads on his social media handles until one of his works got noticed by the YBNL boss, Olamide.

He is currently signed into OneWord Global Records but has strong ties with the YBNL boss and is often referred to as ‘Olamide First Son’.

Ever since he came into the limelight, he has worked vigorously to improve his career. He has released several hit songs which featured top Nigerian musicians including Zlatan and Olamide. In addition to that, the artiste has also been rated as one of the fastest-rising singers of the year by several media platforms.

Shmurda’s first EP album project titled High Tension, which was released in 2020 was a huge success in music streaming platforms. The album currently has more than 10 million streams on all streaming platforms and more than 5 million streams on Audiomack alone.

One of his hit songs is ‘Cash App’ which featured Zlatan Ibile. Bella Shmurda also got featured in Olamide’s ‘Triumphant which is off his recently released album, ‘Carpe Diem’.
