Personal life

Bowofoluwa Olufisayo Odunsi professionally known as Odunsi (The Engine), is a British-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer born on June 7, 1996. He is currently signed to a record deal with Universal Music Nigeria and Warner/Chappell Music UK.

Education

Odunsi attended Dansol High School in Ikeja, then move to Hallefield College in Maryland, Lagos where he obtained his West African Senior School Certificate well known as SSCE.

In 2015, Odunsi reportedly dropped out of a Ghanaian University in a bid to pursue his musical career which saw him in a studio situated in Accra.

Career

Odunsi’s interest in R&B and soul was nurtured by artists like Sade, Prince, Donell Jones, and King Sunny Ade. He started his career in 2015 as a record producer and has produced for the like's of Boogey, Blackmagic, Adomaa, King Zamir, Dami Oniru and many more. In 2018 he got featured on M.I two debut albums Rendezvous & Yxng Dxnzl. Odunsi was on 'The Beat 99.9 FM' with Olisa Adibua & Maria Okanrende on "The Morning Rush", where he discussed about his sound and record deal with Universal Music.

His debut single 'In The Morning' was released on December 8 2017 under Universal Music Group. The music video for 'In The Morning' was shot in Lagos and released under Universal Music Nigeria.
