She was born on August 14 in Kaduna to a Sierra Leonean father and a Nigerian mother from the North. She has a degree in Biology and Psychology and has lived in Sierra Leone, the United State, Canada and of course Nigeria.

Her music career started in 2008 in Canada before she moved to Nigeria. The same year, she released her first single titled Rock Steady which earned her a nomination for the Canadian Radio Music Award in 2009.

Later in 2012, she released other songs; Dan’Iska (Rudebwoy), and Hold On (Ba Damuwa) and "How Can We Be Friends".

On February 14, 2014, Di'Ja signed a record deal with Don Jazzy's Mavin Records and her official debut single "Yaro", was also released that same day.

On May 2014, she got featured in ‘Dorobucci’ alongside her label mates Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, D’Prince and Reekado Banks. She was also featured on other Mavin crew hit songs like Adaobi and Looku Looku.

In December 2014, she released her biggest hit single ‘Awwn’. Awwn got positive reviews and receive massive airplay.

PERSONAL LIFE

Not much is known of her personal life as she tries to keep her family off the limelight. She got married to Rotimi in 2016 and they both have three children - Kiton Farouk, Amana Morenike and Ayana Wura.
