He was born on July 14, 1982 in Benin City, Edo state as the third of four children. Ebuka originally hails from Okija, Anambra state. He had his primary education in Benin before moving to Abuja with his family. After his secondary education, he had his tertiary education at the University of Abuja. He also studied at the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja. In December 2010, he graduated from the Washington College of Law of the American University, Washington DC with Masters of Laws degree specializations in Intellectual Property as well as Communications Law from the Law and Government Program.

Ebuka shot into limelight when participated in the 2006 edition (1st Season) of the popular reality show ‘Big Brother Nigeria’. Although he didn’t win, he finished in the 8th position. He became the host of the second season of the reality show in January 2017. He also came back for the third, fourth and now the fifth season.

Ebuka didn’t just work as Big Brother Naija host, he has also hosted popular shows like ‘Friend of Foe’ and the Glo Show on NTA ‘Guiness Greatness TV’.

During the run up to Nigeria’s general election in 2011, he hosted the first ever presidential debate. The debate had its focus on youth issues and it was broadcast live across the country. He is also a contributor to several publications which includes ‘Style Vitae’, a fashion and style portal. Ebuka is the host of the popular TV talk show ‘Rubbin Minds’ on Channels Television as well as co-hosting ‘The Spot and Men’s Corner’ on Ebonylife Television alongside Lamidi Akintobi and Zainab Balogun.

Ebuka has also interviewed a good number of influential figures in Nigeria.

AWARDS

The media personality has received lots of awards and nominations in the course of his career.

He won the award for Outstanding TV Presenter of the Year at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards for his work on Rubbin' Minds.

In 2013, he got selected as a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum, an exclusive group of young emerging leaders across the world

He was also honored by the Federal Government as one of the Best 100 Young Nigerians in 2013

PERSONAL LIFE

Ebuka is married to his longtime girlfriend, Cynthia Obianodo. The couple got engaged on April 15, 2015. They got married on February 6, 2016 in Abuja. They are blessed with two children.
