Hugh Jackman was born in Sydney, New South Wales. He got married to Deborra-Lee Furness in April 1996. After she suffered two miscarriages, the couple adopted two children.

Education

He attended Pymble Public School and Knox Grammar School School. He also studied at the University of Technology, Sydney, graduating with a degree in Communications in 1991.

Career

Jackman started acting professionally when he was featured in the Australian series Correlli. After that, he continued making appearances in theatrical productions before getting a career breakthrough when he got the role of the mutant Wolverine in X-Men (2000). He reprised the role in the subsequent sequels.

He starred as Leopold in the romantic comedy Kate & Leopold (2001) and also played the lead role in Swordfish (2001). He portrayed the titular character in Van Helsing (2004).
