Personal Life

Jason Statham was born in Shirebrook, Derbyshire. He began a relationship with model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in 2010 and they announced their engagement in January 2016.

The couple has a son who was born in June 2017.

Education

He attended a local grammar school.

Career

Statham worked as a model before being introduced to director Guy Ritchie and was cast in the 1998 crime comedy Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

He worked with Ritchie again in Snatch (2000) and was cast in the lead role in the action film The Transporter (2002). He reprised the role in the sequels.

Over the years, the actor established himself as a bonafide action star with roles in several action movies, including Revolver, Crank, Death Race, The Expendables, The Mechanic, and Killer Elite.

Statham was added to the ensemble cast of the Fast and Furious franchise in 2013, playing the vengeful brother of Luke Evans' character. He would reprise the role in a sequel and a spinoff, the latter alongside Dwayne Johnson.

His latest film project with Ritchie is the 2021 action film Wrath of Man.
