Personal Life

Kate Beckinsale was born in London as an only child to actors Richard Beckinsale and Judy Loe. She dated actor Michael Sheen from 1995 to 2003. Their daughter, Lily, was born in 1999. They split in 2003.

She fell in love with director Len Wiseman while filming Underworld (2003). They married in May 2004 and announced their separation in November 2015. Their divorce was finalised in November 2019.

Beckinsale was rumoured to be in a relationship with comedian Pete Davidson in January 2019 but by April they had ended their romance.

Education

She was educated at Godolphin and Latymer School and studied French and Russian Literature at New College, Oxford. She was involved with the Oxford University Dramatic Society.

Career

Beckinsale made her first TV appearance at the age of four in an episode of This is Your Life dedicated to her father. She got the role of Hero in Kenneth Branagh's screen adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing.

After leaving Oxford University in 1995, she got a starring role in Cold Comfort Farm. Between 1998 and 2002, she was seen in films like The Last Days of Disco, Brokedown Palace, The Golden Bowl, and Pearl Habor.

From 2003, the actress became a known action star after playing the lead role in Underworld. She reprised the character in the sequels.

Her other films include Van Helsing, Click, Winged Creatures, Whiteout, Contraband, The Disappointments Room, The Widow, and Jolt.
