She was born on November 29, 1989, in Nsukka, Enugu state as the last of three siblings. She grew up with her family in Benin City. Lota attended the University of Benin where she studied Agricultural Economics and Extension Service. After that, she went to the Royal Arts Academy in Lagos and studied Acting.
Prior to acting, she was a model and she represented Yobe State in the 2011 edition of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.
Lota professionally started acting in 2011 but gained popularity after she featured in ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, a popular Nigerian TV series, alongside Funke Akindele, and Falz. She played the role of Kiki, a friend to the lead character, Jenifa.
She has appeared in movies like Falling, Fine Girl, Tailor My Heart, Thr Arbitration, Dognapped, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel and many more.
Lota was also featured in Reminisce’s Ponmile, as the lead character.
In 2017, she launched her cooking and lifestyle show ‘Lota Talks’.
