Personal life
Millie Bobby Brown is the third of four children born to English parents Kelly and Robert Brown in Marbella, Málaga, Andalusia, Spain.
Her parents gave her British citizenship when she was about four years old, and the family moved to Bournemouth, Dorset. They all immigrated to the United States four years later, settling in Windermere, Florida.
She dated singer and social media personality Jacob Sartorious in 2017. Internet enthusiasts found out that the two were exchanging likes on their social media accounts and by the end of that same year, they went public with their relationship.
In January 2020, it was rumoured that Brown was romantically linked with Wigan Warriors rugby player Joseph Robinson. The pair made it official when they posted a picture of them having a meal in the Maldives. The actress also posted a picture in which she was wearing a Wigan Warriors jersey.
Brown and Robinson split after 8 months.
Career
Brown made her acting debut as Young Alice in the ABC fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland in 2013. She starred in the BBC America paranormal drama-thriller Seance in 2014.
She was cast in the Netflix science fiction-horror series Stranger Things as Eleven ('El') in 2016. Her portrayal of the superpowered girl got her nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Brown appeared in the music video for Sigma and Birdy's song Find Me in November 2016. She has been featured in Citigroup commercials since November of 2016.
Brown was the lead star (as well as a producer) in Enola, a movie about the younger sister of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes.
Time magazine named her one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2018, making her the youngest person ever to be included on the list.
On November 20, 2018, it was announced that she had been named the youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in history.
Brown made her feature film debut in 2019 with Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the sequel to Godzilla (2014). She reprised her role in the next sequel, Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
