Personal Life

Patrick Wilson was born in Norfolk, Virginia. He is the youngest of three brothers. He got married to actress Dagmara Dominczyk in 2005.

The couple has two sons (born in 2006 and 2009).

Education

Wilson attended Shorecrest Preparatory School and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1995 with a B.F.A. in Drama.

Career

He started acting in 1995 during the national touring production of Miss Saigon and made his Broadway debut in The Full Monty (2000).

In 2006, Wilson starred in Little Children. Two years later, he had another lead role in Neil LaBute's Lakeview Terrace. He played the character of Dan Dreiberg/Nite Owl II in Zack Snyder's superhero film Watchmen.

Wilson portrayed the antagonist in The A-Team (2010) and starred alongside Rose Byrne in the horror film Insidious (2010). He reprised his role in the latter in the 2013 sequel.

He portrayed the popular paranormal investigator Ed Warren alongside Vera Farmiga in The Conjuring. He returned for the sequels.

In 2018, Wilson played the DC character Orm Marius/Ocean Master in the superhero movie Aquaman.
