Personal Life

Rebecca Hall was born in London to an African-American mother and an English father. Her close tie with director Sam Mendes was the subject of intense media scrutiny in 2010. Their relationship started in 2011 and ended in 2013. The filmmaker was married to actress Kate Winslet at the time.

She met actor Morgan Spector in 2014 and they got married in 2015. They announced that they were expecting a child together in 2018.

Education

Hall attended Roedean School and studied English Literature at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, dropping out in 2002 just before her final year.

Career

The actress got her first professional role in 1992 in her father's TV adaptation of The Camomile Lawn. Her feature film debut was in Starter for Ten.

Her breakthrough role was in Christopher Nolan's The Prestige (2006). She became more popular after starring in the Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008).

She featured opposite Ben Affleck in the crime drama The Town (2010) and subsequently seen in the MCU movie Iron Man 3 (2013).

Hall was among the main cast in the 2021 monster movie Godzilla vs. Kong.
