Douglas Jack Agu

His real name is Douglas Jack Agu and was born on August 19, 1989 in Enugu state. He moved to Lagos from Enugu in 2007, and then started doing underground collaborations with the likes of J-Martins and Timaya.

Runtown partnered with Phyno to form a record label called Penthauz during which he released his first two singles “Party Like its 1980” and “Activity Pikin”,

His song ‘Gallardo’ featuring singer Davido, was named Best Collaboration of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

In 2014, media reports had it that Runtown wrote Davido’s song ‘Aye’. In an interview with Nigerian Tribune, Runtown said people had been questioning him on that. He however directed those who want to learn about ‘Aye’ to ask Davido about it or read his interviews.

The artiste is currently pursuing a career in Fashion Management in an undisclosed institution of learning in New York.

Runtown has a son, Zamar, with Selena Leath who was born in June 2017.
