Personal Life

Samuel Ajibola was born in Mazamaza, Lagos in Nigeria. He is the first child in a family of four children. He is a Yoruba and hails from Ekiti State in the southwestern part of the country.

In January 2020, the actor announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Sandra via his Instagram account, and in December of that same year, their marriage took place.

Education

After his completing his primary and secondary education in Ekiti, he proceeded to the University of Lagos where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.

After his university education, Ajibola studied acting at Amaka Igwe's Centre for Excellence, majoring in Film and Media Studies.

Career

Ajibola's Nollywood career began in 1995 when he was 6 years old in the Opa Williams movie Tears for Love. He reportedly nabbed the role after impressing his aunt (also an actress) during a play in church.

The star subsequently appeared in several other films, including Without LoveShameEye-WitnessOnome IIConspiracy, Street Kids, and Day of Reckoning.

He took a break from acting in 2003 to finish his high school education, returning to Nollywood in 2009 in the Teco Benson film The Fake Prophet.

Ajibola is best known for playing the character of Spiff (a mentally retarded individual who appears to have cerebral palsy) in the popular TV series The Johnsons.

As of 2016, he had portrayed Spiff for four seasons, receiving several accolades and recognition for the role. He made his production debut with the release of his web series Dele Issues in March 2017.

In May 2021, Ajibola announced via social media that he had decided to quit the role of Spiff on The Johnsons.
