Personal Life
Sola Allyson was born to the famous Allysons of Ikorodu. She had her primary and secondary education at Anglican Primary School, Ikorodu and Shams-el-deen Grammar School, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
She acquired her National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) certificate from Government Technical College, Agidingbi, Ikeja where she studied Business before proceeding to The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1997, where she obtained her Higher National Diploma (HND) in Music Technology with upper credit.
Allyson got married to Toyin Obaniyi in 2003 and their marriage is blessed with three children; Ayobami, Mopelola, and Obafunmiwo Obaniyi.
Career
Sola Allyson started her music career as a backup singer at the early age of 13, working with veteran musicians such as Stella Monye, Yinka Ayefele, Obesere, and Pasuma before going solo.
She came into the limelight after she was called upon to sing the soundtrack of a movie starring veteran Nigeran actress Bimbo Oshin initially titled Orekelewa in 2003. The movie's title was later changed to Eji Owuro on account of the theme of the soundtrack. The studio however decided to make an album off the soundtrack named Eji Owuro. Her debut album was well received, thereby launching the singer into prominence.
The star has to date released nine music albums and is currently working on her tenth titled Imisi.
