She was born on June 9, 1985 in Port Harcourt. Tonto had her primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt, while she studied Petrochemical Engineering at Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
Tonto’s journey in the entertainment industry started when she participated in a reality show ‘Next Movie Star’. Although she didn’t win the show, she came out as the first-runner up. The role she played in the movie ‘Holy Cross’ gave her her big break.
In 2010, the controversial actress appeared in the movie ‘Dirty Secrets’. Although the movie was popular, it gained Tonto lot of criticism from Nigerians based on the fact that the movie contained explicit scenes.
As a singer, she released two singles ‘Hi’ and ‘Itz Ova’. On June 13, 2014, Tonto got signed into D’banj’s record label ‘DB Records’. She left in 2015.
PERSONAL LIFE
She got married to Oladunni Churchill in August 2015 but the couple got divorced in 2017. However, their union produced a son, Andre Omodayo Churchill, who was born in February 2016.
