Toolz was born in London on July 6, 1982. She had her primary education at Talbot House preparatory school in Bournemouth, UK, and secondary education in Nigeria before relocating to study at the City of Westminster College. She also has a degree in Business and Mass communication from London Metropolitan University. Her parents are the famous Oniru Royal family of Lagos State.
Toolz worked with Walt Disney Pictures and MTV Europe in the United Kingdom before she relocated to Nigeria. She auditioned for the role of a radio presenter at The Beat 99.9 FM which she got. In April 2009, she started hosting her own radio show.
She hosted the X Factor West Africa, one of the popular shows in Africa. She was also a judge at the 2011 and 2012 Channel O Music Video Awards.
On her talk show, the Juice, she has interviewed popular African entertainers including Davido, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Rita Dominic and Yvonne Nelson.

PERSONAL LIFE
Tolu Oniru is married to Tunde Demuren. The duo got married on May 26, 2016, in Dubai and they are both blessed with two children. Her husband is the son of Harold Demuren, a former Director-General National Civil Aviation Authority.
