Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie

He was born on January 7, 1982, as the last of 6 children. Although he hails from Anambra, he was raised in Lagos and Enugu.

Edochie started out his basic education at Lilian's’ Day Nursery School and Robinson Street Primary School, Enugu. He proceeded to Marist Brothers’ Juniorate, Uturu, University Secondary School Enugu, Ecumenical Community Secondary School Enugu and New Haven Boys Secondary School Enugu Respectively. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts from the University of Port Harcourt.

He began his acting career in 2005 with the hope of becoming a mega superstar. He moved from Enugu to Lagos and was accommodated by Nonso Diobi. In the same year, he debuted in the movie ‘The Exquisites’ alongside Late Justice Esiri.

However, Edochie broke out with the movie ‘Wind of Glory’ alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot.

Some of the movies he has featured in include; Sleek Ladies, Unstoppable, Sarafina, Zone 9, Death Certificate, Dooshima, Compound Fools, The Man Keeper, Lovig Your Hurts, Mysterious Family, The Billionaires and Moms at war.

He has also worked with Nollywood superstars such as Mercy Johnson, Olu Jacobs, Desmond Elliot, and Genevieve Nnaji.

In 2018, Edochie got appointed as the senior special assistant to the governor of Anambra state.

PERSONAL LIFE

He got married to May Aligwe in 2004 when he was just 22. The union is blessed with three sons and a daughter.
