Personal Life

Zachary Levi was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and is of Welsh descent. His family relocated across numerous states when he was a child before returning to their home in Ventura, California.

He was married to Missy Peregrym in 2014 but the union was short-lived as they divorced the following year. Levi is private about his love life, but from all indications, he is presently single.

Education

Levi attended Buena High School for four years.

Career

He started acting when he was six years and made appearances in regional shows such as Grease, The Outsiders, Oklahoma!, Oliver!, The Wizard of Oz, and Big River.

The actor played Kipp Steadman in the ABC Family TV movie See Jane Date and was set to star in an ABC pilot called Three for the 2004/2005 TV season but the production was canceled.

In 2007, he nabbed a starring role in Chuck, an action-comedy series that would introduce him to a wider range of fans and get him critical acclaim.

Levi and his Chuck co-star Yvonne Strahovski were both nominated for the Teen Choice Awards 2010 for Best Action Actor and Actress Choice TV Series, which they both won.

He voiced the character of Flynn Rider in the Disney animated film Tangled and reprised the role in Tangled: Before Ever After, a Disney Channel Original Movie in 2017.

Levi played Dr. Benjamin Ettenberg, a love interest for the main character in the second season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and shared the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series with the rest of the series' main cast members at SAG's January 2019 awards presentation.

In 2019, Levi portrayed the eponymous character in the DC superhero movie Shazam! He will reprise the role in the forthcoming sequel, Shazam: Fury of the Gods.
