Personal life 

Zachary Quinto was born and raised in Green Tree, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. He came out as gay publicly in October 2011.

Quinto said he recognized "that living a homosexual life without openly identifying it is just not enough to make any substantial contribution to the huge task that remains ahead on the road to complete equality".

He was in a relationship with actor Jonathan Groff from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, Quinto started dating model and musician Miles McMillan.

 Quinto and McMillan called it quits in early 2019. He is reportedly single. 

Education

He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1995 and then went on to Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in 1999.

Career

Quinto made his TV debut in the short-lived series The Others and featured as a guest star on CSI, Touched by an Angel, Charmed, Six Feet Under, and Lizzie McGuire.

The actor secured a recurring role as computer expert Adam Kaufman on the Fox series 24 in 2003. He joined the cast of Heroes later that year as Gabriel Gray, best known as serial killer Sylar. The role would garner him critical praise.

He was cast as a young Spock in J. J. Abrams' reboot of Star Trek. He reprised the role in the subsequent sequels. Additionally, he played John Smith in the action film Hitman: Agent 47 (2015).
