History Of Abak

Abak Local Government Area is located in Akwa Ibom State, Southsouth Nigeria. Abak LGA has been in existence as a local government area since it was created in 1976.

The major inhabitants of Abak LGA are members of the Annang tribe. Some of the villages in Abak Local Government Area include Abak Ikot, Abak Itenge, Abak Usung Atai, and Abak Usung Idim.

Abak LGA covers a total area of 190 square kilometers. The local government area has a humidity of 88 percent. The average temperature in Abak is reported to be 26.5 degrees Celsius.
