History Of Ajingi

Ajingi Local Government Area situated in Kano State, Nigeria. Ajingi Local Government Area was created in 1996 from Gaya local government area. Ajingi LGA covers an area of 714 km⊃2; and had a population of 174,137 according to the 2006 census. However, the current estimated population of the LGA is 244,762 inhabitants.

The LGA includes several towns and villages, such as Toranke, Balare, Dagaji, Kara Makama, Ungwar Bai, Gafasa, and Sakalawa. The dominant ethnic groups in Ajingi LGA are the Fulani and Kanuri. Islam is the predominant religion practiced in the area, while the Hausa and Fulfulde languages are commonly spoken. The postal code of Ajingi Local Government Area is 713.
