History Of Arochukwu

Arochukwu Local Government Area is located in Abia State, Nigeria. It is situated in the eastern part of the state and is bordered by Imo State, Ohafia Local Government Area, Bende Local Government Area, and Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area.  The headquarters of Arochukwu Local Government Area is located in the town of Arochukwu.

According to the 2006 Nigerian census, Abia State, of which Arochukwu Local Government Area is a part, had a population of 2,833,999 people. However, it is important to note that this figure is from 2006.
