History Of Asa

Asa Local Government Area is located in Kwara State, North-central Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA is in the town of Afon. Asa LGA contains several towns and villages, including Ogbondoroko, Afon, Laduba, Aboto, Balah, Eyenkonn, Pampo, Ogele, and Olowokere.

Asa LGA covers an area of 1,286 square kilometers (497 sq mi). As of the 2006 census, Asa had a population of 126,435 inhabitants. Islam and Christianity are the primary religions practiced in the area. The area is home to various ethnic groups, including Yoruba, Hausa, and Fulani.
