History Of Bama

Bama Local Government Area is in the central part of Borno State, Nigeria. Bama is the second largest landmass in the state. It has an area of 4,997 km2. It is located "about 60 kilometres (37 miles) from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state

The population was recorded as 269,986 in the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 610. It is one of the sixteen LGAs that constitute the Dikwa Emirate, a traditional state located in Borno State, Nigeria.
