History Of Bichi

Bichi Local Government Area is located in Kano State, Nigeria. It serves as the headquarters of the Bichi Emirate council. Bichi LGA covers an area of 612 km⊃2; and had a population of 277,099 according to the 2006 census. However, the estimated current population of the LGA is 121,094 inhabitants.

The LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Badume, Chiromawa, Daddo, Dokoki, Rimaye, Marga, Yan Bundu, and Saye. The most populous ethnic divisions in Bichi LGA are the Hausa and the Fulani. Islam is the commonly practiced religion in the area. The Hausa and Fulfulde languages are extensively spoken in the LGA.
