History Of Bindawa

Bindawa Local Government Area is situated in Katsina State, Nigeria. The headquarters of Bindawa LGA is located in the town of Bindawa, situated at approximately 12°40′11″N latitude and 7°48′19″E longitude.

According to the 2006 census, Bindawa LGA had a population of 152,356 people. The LGA covers an area of 398 square kilometers. Bindawa LGA has two district heads: Dan-Yusufan Katsina and Dan-Barhim Katsina, representing different administrative units within the LGA.

Bindawa LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Ringin, Baushe, Gaiwa, Gire, Mawa, Gwanza, Jibawa, Kamri, Yangora, and Mazanya. The majority of the inhabitants in Bindawa LGA are reported to be members of the Fulani ethnic group. Fulfulde is the widely spoken language in the area.
