History Of Borgu

Borgu Local Government Area (LGA) is a significant administrative division situated in Niger State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters of Borgu LGA is the town of New Bussa. Borgu LGA was formerly part of Kwara State but was transferred to Niger State on 27 August 1991.

According to the 1991 census, Borgu LGA had a total population of 110,000. Borgu LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Wawa, Abdullahi, Gbebara, Gunangwu, Konkoso, Sabon, Kaunkpe, and Godebe.
