History Of Bosso

Bosso Local Government Area is located in Niger State, within the North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The LGA covers an area of 1,592 square kilometers, comprising various towns, villages, and rural settlements. Its administrative headquarters is located in the town of Maikunkele.

As of 2019, Bosso LGA has an estimated population of 208,212, projected from the national population census figures of 2006 with a 2.5% annual growth rate.

Bosso LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Maitumbi, Chanchaga, Kodo, Shata, Kampala, Bejo, Garatu, and Maikunkele.
