History Of Bunza

Bunza Local Government Area is situated in Kebbi State, Nigeria. Bunza LGA was established in 1975 as part of the local government reform under the General Murtala administration. It was carved out of the then-state of Sokoto. The headquarters of Bunza LGA is located in the town of Bunza. 

Bunza LGA covers an area measuring approximately 876 square kilometers. According to the 2006 census, Bunza LGA had a population of 121,461 inhabitants. The current estimated population is approximately 162,085 people. The population consists of diverse ethnic groups, with the most populous tribes being the Hausa and Fulani.

Bunza LGA shares borders with Kalgo, Dandi, Arewa, and Suru LGAs. Bunza LGA comprises several towns, villages, and rural settlements, including Raha, Zogirma, Dangaladima, Gwade, Bunza, Modomawa, Sabon Birni, and Matseri.

The Hausa and Fulani constitute the majority. The primary languages spoken in Bunza LGA are the Hausa and Fulfulde languages. The postal code assigned to Bunza LGA is 862.
