Bunza Local Government Area is situated in Kebbi State, Nigeria. Bunza LGA was established in 1975 as part of the local government reform under the General Murtala administration. It was carved out of the then-state of Sokoto. The headquarters of Bunza LGA is located in the town of Bunza.
Bunza LGA covers an area measuring approximately 876 square kilometers. According to the 2006 census, Bunza LGA had a population of 121,461 inhabitants.
