History Of Bursari

Bursari Local Government Area is located in Yobe State, Nigeria, in the far south of the area, with its headquarters in the town of Dapchi at coordinates 12°29′25″N 11°29′40″E.

The LGA covers an area of 3,818 square kilometers and had a population of 109,124 according to the 2006 census. However, recent estimates suggest a population of around 111,732 inhabitants. The postal code for Bursari LGA is 620.

The Bade language is spoken in Bursari LGA, along with Fulfulde and Hausa. The majority of the population belongs to the Bade, Hausa, and Fulani ethnic groups. Bursari LGA comprises various towns and villages, including Gumsa, Dapchi, and Bodairi.
