History Of Buruku

Buruku Local Government Area located in Benue State, situated in Northcentral Nigeria. The headquarters of Buruku Local Government Area is in the town of Buruku. Buruku LGA has an area of 1,246 km2.
Population:

According to the 2006 census, Buruku had a population of 203,721. Some towns and villages in Buruku LGA include Etulo, Mbaakura, Tyowanye, Abira, Mbalagh, Mbaya, Binev, and Shorov.

Buruku LGA is bordered by the Katsina-Ala, Ushongo, Guma, and Gboko LGAs. Buruku LGA consists of several tribal affiliations. The most prominent tribal divisions include the Tiv, Etulo, and Nyifon.
