History Of Dambatta

Danbatta Local Government Area located in Kano State, Nigeria. It is situated approximately 49 miles north of Kano city, at the northern border of Kano State with Jigawa State. The headquarters of the LGA is in Danbatta town, which is located along the A2 highway.

Danbatta LGA covers an approximate area of 732 km⊃2; and had a population of 207,968 according to the 2006 census. It shares borders with Kazaure and Babura Local Government Areas of Jigawa State to the north and east, and with Minjibir and Makoda Local Government Areas of Kano State to the south and west respectively.

The LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Fogolawa, Barebari, Danya, Hazo, Kwasauri, Rade, Tabo, and Zago. The dominant ethnic groups in the area are the Hausa and Fulani, with the Hausa and Fufulde languages extensively spoken.
