History of Enugu South Local Government  Area, Enugu State

Headquarters are in the town of Uwani. There are increasing demands for basic crop products such as garri and milled rice in most households in this part of Enugu. Hidden within the earth is coal, laterite, silica sand and pyrite. The popular French language school, Alliance Francais and the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus are in this area.
