History Of Ezza North

Ezza North local government area located in Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria. The administrative headquarters of Ezza North Local Government Area is in the town of Ebiaji.

Ezza North was created in 1996 alongside other local government areas in the then-new Ebonyi State. It used to be part of the old Ezza Local Government Area. Ezza North LGA has an area of 305 km⊃2;.

As of the 2006 census, Ezza North had a population of 145,619 inhabitants. The current estimated population is around 151,603 inhabitants. The majority of the population in Ezza North is made up of members of the Ezza sub-division of the Igbo ethnic group.

Several towns and villages constitute Ezza North LGA, including Amazu, Ndufu, Ekka, Azuakparata, Oriuozor, Umuome, Amana, and Ohaike. The major language spoken in the area is the Ezza dialect of the Igbo language. The postal code for Ezza North Local Government Area is 482.
