History Of Gashaka

Gashaka Local Government Area (LGA) is located in Taraba State, Northcentral Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are situated in the town of Serti. Gashaka LGA covers a vast area of approximately 8,393 square kilometers.

According to the 2006 census, the population of Gashaka LGA was recorded at 87,781 inhabitants. The estimated population of Gashaka LGA is approximately 151,228 inhabitants. Several towns and villages make up Gashaka LGA, including Danbarau, Gumti, Tungwa, Gangumi, Balewa, Kobaje, Lagaso, and Tonga.
