Gbonyin Local Government Area, also known as Aiyekire LGA, is located in Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria, with its headquarters in the town of Ode-Ekiti.

Several towns and villages make up Gbonyin LGA, including Iluomoba, Aisegba, Agbado, Iro, Ugboeku, Aba ika, Oguniyi, Sakunmi, Olorunda, and others.

The estimated population of Gbonyin LGA is 145,713 inhabitants, with the Yoruba tribe being the most populous. Gbonyin LGA shares borders with Ise/Emure, Ekiti East, Ikole, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ado Ekiti, and Akoko Northwest local government areas.
