History Of Geidam

Geidam Local Government Area is situated in Yobe State, Nigeria, in the northwest part of the area, with its headquarters in the town of Geidam at coordinates 12°53′49″N 11°55′49″E.

The LGA covers an area of 4,357 square kilometers and had a population of 157,295 according to the 2006 census. However, recent estimates suggest a population of around 121,397 inhabitants. The postal code for Geidam LGA is 632.

Geidam LGA comprises various towns and villages, including Jororo, Tombaeji, and Tumbulgo. It shares boundaries with the Yunusari LGA and Meine-Soroa in Niger Republic. The majority of Geidam's population belongs to the Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and Fulfulde (Fufulde) languages are widely spoken in the area.
