History Of Gudu

Gudu Local Government Area is situated in Sokoto State, Nigeria. The headquarters of Gudu LGA are located in the town of Balle, covering a vast area of 3,478 square kilometers, Gudu LGA had a population of 95,544 as recorded in the 2006 census, with an estimated population of 139,000 in 2019.

The local government area shares borders with the Republic of Niger to the north and west, Kebbi State to the south, Binji LGA to the southeast, and Tangaza LGA to the east. Gudu LGA comprises various towns and villages, including Boto, Bachaka, Wababi, Salau, Makaya, Gwazanye, Kurdala, and Tsafanade. The majority of the populace belonging to the Hausa and Fulani ethnic divisions. As such, the Hausa and Fulfulde languages are extensively spoken in Gudu LGA
