History Of Gurara

Gurara Local Government Area (LGA) is situated in Niger State, Nigeria, adjacent to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The administrative headquarters of Gurara LGA is in the town of Gawu

According to the 2006 census, Gurara LGA had a population of 90,974 residents. However, the current estimated population stands at 145,660 inhabitants. Gurara LGA comprises several towns and villages include Mararaba, Tuchi, Nasami, Kabo, Gwachige, Kungo, Guna, and Tufu, among others.

The Gwari language is the predominant language spoken in Gurara LGA, reflecting the cultural heritage and linguistic diversity of the Gwari people.
