History Of Ideato North

Ideato North Local Government Area (LGA) in Imo State, Nigeria. It is situated in the southeastern part of Imo State. Ideato North was created in 1976 as Ideato Local Government. Later, it was divided into both Ideato North and Ideato South.

The administrative headquarters of Ideato North LGA is located in Urualla. Other towns in Ideato North LGA include Obodoukwu, Akokwa, Uzii, Osina, Akpulu, Umualaoma, and Isiokpo. Villages belonging to the community of Arondizuogu are located in this area.

As of 2011, Ideato North had a population of 183,260 inhabitants. Ideato North LGA is bordered by Oru East to the west, Oru West to the south, Njaba to the north, and Anambra State to the east.
