History Of Ifedayo

Ifedayo Local Government is one of the 30 local government areas in Osun State, located in southwestern Nigeria. It stands as one of the more recently established local government areas. The administrative headquarters are situated in the town of Oke-Ila Orangun. With a geographical expanse covering 128 square kilometers, Ifedayo had a population of 37,058 according to the 2006 census. The postal code for this area is 234.

The community of Ifedayo is primarily composed of the Igbomina (or Ogbonna) sub-ethnic group of the Yoruba people. Additionally, there are several other small towns and villages within the local government area, most of which are positioned to the west of Oke-Ila Orangun.
