History Of Igalamela Odolu

Igalamela-Odolu Local Government is located in Kogi State, Nigeria, in the North-central geopolitical zone. It is bordered by the Niger River in the west and Enugu State in the east. The headquarters of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government is in the town of Ajaka, situated in the north of the area at coordinates 7°10′16″N 6°49′35″E.

Igalamela-Odolu LGA area is 2,175 km⊃2; and the population is 148,020 at the 2006 census. The estimated population is around 139,603 inhabitants. Igalamela-Odolu LGA is composed of various towns and villages, including Odolu, Ajaka, Ofodo, Akpanya, Ogbodibo, Agbokete, Ogbolibomi, and Ojigbe.
