History Of Ihiala

Ihiala Local Government Area is located in the southern part of Anambra State, Nigeria, within the region known as Igboland. The Local Government Area has an estimated population of about 87,796 inhabitants. Ihiala is the largest city in the Local Government Area, and other towns include Amorka, Azia, Lilu, Okija, Mbosi, Isseke, Orsumoghu, Ubuluisuzor, and Uli.

Ihiala is situated in the southwest of Anambra State. It shares borders with Nnewi Local Government to the northwest, Imo State to the northeast and east, Ekwusigo Local Government to the west, and Delta State to the south. The rainy season is described as warm, oppressive, and sometimes overcast.
Igbo is the national language spoken in Ihiala. The majority of the population belongs to the Igbo ethnic group.
