History Of Ikwuano

Ikwuano is a Local Government Area (LGA) in the state of Abia. It is located in the southeastern part of Abia state, Nigeria. It is bordered by Umuahia North Local Government Area to the north, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area to the east, Aba North Local Government Area to the south and Bende Local Government Area to the west. The LGA is made up of several towns and villages, including Umuahia, the state capital. It is known for its rich cultural heritage and agricultural resources, such as palm oil, rubber, and yam cultivation.

The LGA covers an area of approximately 206 km and has a population of around 150,000 people as of 2006 census.
