History Of Ingawa

Ingawa Local Government Area is situated in Katsina State, which is located in the Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of Ingawa LGA is located in the town of Ingawa.

According to the 2006 census, Ingawa LGA had a population of 169,753 people. The LGA covers an area of 892 square kilometers. Ingawa LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Tunas, Santar Kanya, Kurheji, and Ingawa. 

The majority of the inhabitants in Ingawa LGA are reported to be members of the Fulani ethnic group. The Hausa and Fulfulde languages are commonly spoken in the area. The postal code for Ingawa LGA is 823.
