History Of Irepodun/Ifelodun

Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area is situated in Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria, with its headquarters in the town of Igede. The local government area is made up of several towns and villages, including Igede-ekiti, Iyin-ekiti, Igbemo-ekiti, Awo-ekiti, Afao, Are, Iropora, Esure, Eyio Iworoko, and others.

The estimated population of the area is 174,335 inhabitants, and the majority of the LGA's residents are members of the Yoruba ethnic group. The Yoruba language is predominantly spoken in Irepodun/Ifelodun LGA. Christianity is the most practiced religion in the area.
