The headquarters of Irewole LGA is in the town of Ikire, situated at 7°21′40″N 4°11′00″E. Irewole has an area of 271 km⊃2;. The population of Irewole was 143,599 at the 2006 census and is described as over 140,000 people. The postal code for Irewole is 221.
