History Of Isiala Ngwa North

Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area (LGA) is located in the southeastern part of the state. The headquarters of the LGA is located in the town of Umuahia, which serves as the capital of Abia state. The LGA is known for its rich cultural heritage, agricultural resources and it is a major center of trade and commerce. Isiala Ngwa North LGA covers an area of approximately 171km⊃2;, and the population was estimated to be around 150,000 people as of 2006 census. The LGA is made up of several towns and villages, including Obingwa, Arochukwu, and Abiriba.

It is bordered by Umuahia South Local Government Area to the north, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area to the east, Bende Local Government Area to the south and Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area to the west.
